The Delta Flyer was designed by the crew of the USS Voyager, after being stranded in the Delta Quadrant, to replace standard Type 9 shuttles. The Delta Flyer incorporates Borg technology into its design that was obtained by the Voyager crew. The Delta Flyer was destroyed by a Borg tactical cube, with a second one built soon afterwards.
